|enough bananas to thoroughly cover cake top|
Beat margarine and sugar first. Add the sifted, dry ingredients and milk, beating well. Pour batter in a rectangular baking pan and top with round slices of bananas. Dust with sugar and cinnamon. Bring to a pre-heated oven at 180 °C and bake for 30 minutes or until brown.
Variation: Substitute apples for bananas.
