Ingredients
300 g (0.5 lb) | pre-cooked lasagna |
300 g (0.5 lb) | fresh or frozen vegetables (peas and carrots) |
300 g (0.5 lb) | ham |
100 g (3.5 oz) | crème fraîche |
150 g (5 oz) | sliced cheese |
1 can (or 16 oz jar) | tomato sauce ready for use or from fresh tomatoes |
oregano |
Preparation
Grease a large oven-ready pan and arrange in layers the following: the lasagna noodles, tomato sauce, vegetables and ham. Then spread the crème fraîche all over the lasagna and top with the sliced cheese. Sprinkle some oregano.
Place baking pan in pre-heated oven at 200 °C and bake for 40 minutes.
NOTE: Crème fraîche is a thickened cream with light sour taste. It might be hard for some folks to find it in certain areas but its preparation is very easy if you want to make your own. Just add 2 tablespoons buttermilk to 1 cup whipping cream, stir well, cover, and put it aside for 24 hours. Stir well again, cover, and then bring it to the refrigerator before using. You can keep unused portions in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
