Coconut and Apple Cake

Simple cake with shredded coconut, oats and topped with apples.

Ingredients
300 g (0.5 lb) | wheat flour |
1 tablespoon | baking powder |
100 g (3.5 oz) | shredded coconut |
100 g (3.5 oz) | oats |
200 g (7 oz) | margarine |
150 g (2/3 cup) | sugar |
4 | eggs |
dash of salt | |
1 cup | milk |
4 | apples |
Preparation
Beat together margarine, sugar and salt thoroughly. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well, then the sifted wheat flour and baking powder. Finally add the milk, shredded coconut and oats.
Pour dough onto a greased cake pan and top with squared, peeled apples. Dust with sugar and cinnamon.
Bake in a pre-heated oven at 200 °C for 45 minutes.
