Oven Baked Cauliflower and Broccoli

Easy preparation dish served with white rice.
Oven Baked Cauliflower and Broccoli


1 smallcauliflower
1 smallbroccoli
2 tablespoonsbread crumbs
1 largeonion
200 g (7 oz)of one of these ingredients: bacon, ham, Portuguese sausage
3dried tomatoes
1/2 glassmilk
salt and pepper


Detach the cauliflower and broccoli florets, rinse with fresh water and cook for 10 minutes in salty water. Drain and arrange florets in a margarine greased baking Pyrex dish.

Peel and dice onion. Fry over a little margarine then add the ham (also diced) until golden brown. Now stir in the bread crumbs. Remove from heat. Dice the dried tomatoes and add to the mixture.

Hand mix the milk, eggs and pepper and set aside.

Spread the mixture of onions and ham over the cauliflower and broccoli then top with the milk mixture.

Bake in a pre-heated oven at 200 °C for 25 minutes.
